Manix® 2 Lightweight CPM® SPY27®

This distinctive version of the Manix® 2 Lightweight showcases a blade crafted from CPM® SPY27®—a remarkably well-balanced steel that can only be found on Spyderco knives. Developed in close cooperation with Crucible® Industries, CPM SPY27 is a particle metallurgy stainless steel containing a proprietary mix of alloys, including vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, and nitrogen. This advanced formula, enhanced by the amplifying effects of cobalt and the state-of-the-art Crucible Particle Metallurgy process, is produced exclusively for Spyderco. The full-flat-ground blade of this Manix 2 Lightweight takes full advantage of CPM SPY27’s properties to deliver exceptional cutting performance. It is supported by a high-strength Ball-Bearing Lock™ mechanism housed within an ultra-lightweight fiberglass-reinforced co-polymer (FRCP) handle. Injection molded in a distinctive mineral blue—one of the signature colors of our CPM SPY27 family—the handle features a non-slip Bi-Directional Texture™ pattern and a wire clip that is reversible for left or right-side tip-up carry.
